Welcome to Term 3. This week we will compare and contrast our lives with the lives of children in other countries. We will also study the artefacts related to the children’s lives from different communities around the world. We will explore how the history of a community helps us understand the people who live in that place today.

In Week 10 to Week 12, we will be exploring some individual’s roles in making their communities and their country better places to live. We will also identify groups and individuals who come to the aid of a community after a natural disaster.
In Week 6 to Week 9, we will continue to explore other aspects of culture that contributes the diversity in our community including holidays and traditions. Information about food from different cultures will be shared on Thursday, 16th February 2017.

Enrichment Activity:
Interview your parents to get information about one type of food from your home country. Information should include name of the food, when it is eaten, what it is made of and so on. A picture of the chosen food will be great or you can bring the food to school to be shared with your friends on 16th February 2017.
