Welcome back. Hope the Spring break was good. We had a very fabulous time during the International day celebrations and learned a lot. We learned about other countries and some major aspects of those countries. Year 2C represented Kenya. The children did a lot of activities and hands on preparations, learned a Swahili song. Swahili is a mixer of Arabic language and African native language. We captured the highlights of the week and here are the photos I am happy to welcome back your lovely children for Term 2. Hope you all had a good Winter break. I look forward to having a productive term as we had last term. Without your support, we would not have achieved what we achieved. Most of the children are still struggling with reading and comprehension skills and I am positive that with a little extra effort, we will all acquire these skills. I will be sending weekly sight words that your child need to be able to read, these will go a long way in improving the reading skills. On the attachment below, kindly find the 1st list of words that your child need to be able to read by Thursday of 12th. Here is a link to a website that has lots of games that you could play with your child. http://www.sightwords.com Kind regards, Ms.Nelly |
